Poll: 75% of MD Voters Want a Better Way to Elect Representatives
The Center for Election Science
–
With the Maryland primary one week away, 75% of Maryland voters agree "we deserve a better way to elect our representatives" according to a joint Center for Election Science/SurveyUSA poll.
While voter discontent is near universal, so is the desire for solutions:
75% of MD voters agree: "I often feel like I have to choose the lesser of two evils when I'm voting for candidates."
69% agree: "While I consider myself a Democrat or a Republican, my party often nominates candidates who aren't fully in line with my values."
65% agree "Voters should be able to choose all the candidates they like and not be forced to choose just one in primary elections." A system similar to the one submitted to the MD Senate this year (SB 913).
